What We Do
Puppy Training
Once your puppy has been introduced to his/her new home and is settled and confident, we can start building the foundations of learning, which will help your puppy to develop into a confident adult dog.
Gradually introduce the puppy to new environments they are likely to be exposed to during their adult life. Socialising with people, dogs, and other animals such as ducks, horses etc. Helping your puppy to learn about being handled, touched, having his eyes and ears looked at, and getting used to their feet being picked up and investigated.
Puppies learn very quickly, soaking up new life skill experiences and learning new tricks very rapidly. The more positive we are in our training methods, the more confident our adult dog will be. Shaping the behaviours we want, not punishing the bad behaviour.
Redirecting unwanted behaviours and slowly guiding our puppies into making good decisions. Puppies do need boundaries. However, these should be set using games and positive reinforcement methods.
Harsh handling and correction could cause your adolescent or adult dog to become reactive to environmental influences.
Foundations are the building blocks to a well-balanced adult dog that you will enjoy for many years. And though hard at times, it is worth spending time getting a strong foundation, as this is something we can always fall back on if problems arise within our relationship with our dog in the future.
