What We Do

Agility Training

agility-image1b

Agility training is suitable for all breeds and sizes of dogs. It is a fun, exciting activity for dogs and their owners to take part in. It involves your dog negotiating different obstacles through a course directed by the handler. We welcome competitive and non-competitive partnerships, including junior handlers.

Agility tests dog and handler fitness, as well as developing the relationship between dog and owner.

Dogs must be 12 months old to participate in agility training and should have a good level of basic obedience, including waits and recall off lead.

We use flexibility in our training approaches by observing handler and dog partnerships. We aim for everyone to leave a session, having achieved new and refined skills whilst having lots of fun. All our training uses science-based positive reward methods, which allows your dog to gain confidence and make fantastic progression with a greater understanding of learnt behaviours.

If you are interested in taking your first steps into competitive agility, we can give you details of local shows. And let you know what to expect and how to prepare. Lots of Omnidogs members compete in Kennel Club, UK Agility, and unaffiliated shows, so once you get started, you are bound to see lots of friendly faces at shows.

Agility Training

I have trained agility with Omnidogs for a number of years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Sarah has so much knowledge and understanding of dogs. I got my second dog as a rescue who had some issues, Sarah has helped us work through these with foundation training and then progressing on to agility (group & 121) which both my dogs absolutely love. Sarah has a true love for her job and that shines through in all Omnidogs does. Thank you Omnidogs for helping us progress to Grade 6 and for SO much fun along the way.

We take our two dogs to Sarah for one-to-one Agility training. They thoroughly enjoy it and Sarah is brilliant at helping us humans get the best out of them. A good physical and mental workout for them as well as us! Completely recommend.

We took Sirius to Omnidogs for puppy training, and we now go for agility classes. He absolutely loves it. Sarah is a great trainer, and the classes really help engage his brain you can see he’s trying to work it all out. It’s often me that needs more training than Sirius, but Sarah is very patient with helping me to help Sirius!

Sirius is really taking to agility and if I can ever keep up with him hopefully he can compete one day. But even if he doesn’t we would keep going as it’s lots of fun for him!
