What We Do

Obedience Training

obedience-1

Without obedience training, dogs literally do not understand how to behave. Dogs thrive with boundaries, routines, and a solid understanding of the behaviours required. Well trained dogs are happier and healthier than untrained dogs, and this reflects onto their owners, also becoming happier and feeling relaxed around their dog.

To effectively train your dog, it's important you follow a training programme and commit to this daily. At Omnidogs, we use science based, positive reinforcement, training methods using both treats, toys, and praise for rewarding dogs.

During our obedience/foundation class, we expand on skills learnt in puppy class, asking for greater focus while continuing to develop your relationship with your dog. Obedience is suitable for older puppies, rescue dogs, or dogs who need to brush up on skills.

Covering basic commands, to begin with, once these are mastered, we move on to tricks and advanced commands whilst keeping our training fun and engaging for yourself and your dog.

Dog training takes time, and remember, both handlers and dogs can hit many bumps along the way. Eventually, with our help and support, patience, consistency, and reinforcement of behaviours, success will be achieved.

Obedience Training

Can’t recommend Sarah and Omnidogs enough. My 16-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback had become a little dog reactive since hitting teenage years and was worried that it would become a big problem. Sarah’s obedience class was fun, she put us at ease instantly and I came home feeling positive and not like I was failing my dog.

Beau is much better behaved out and seems to love agility so can’t wait to start the next chapter with Sarah and the team.

Incredible, it's just a year ago, and Elwood still remembers his training from Sarah at Omnidogs. He does "stay" really well and returns and sits, but he just will not run through an agility tunnel. Still love him to bits
